Water evaporates then falls as rain!....right...??

Water cycle goes bust as the world gets warmer - environment - 10 October 2010 - New Scientist.

The above link brought to us by New Scientist explains how water evaporation has risen steadily till around 1998, which is normal for a warming atomosphere. However since then it appears to have dropped.

The data has been collected by Martin Jung of the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, Germany.

According to Steven Running of the University of Montana in Missule, rising temperatures have been evaporating all the water out of the ground in some regions, falling as rain again but in other regions leaving the regions from where the water came from dry.

This can also be seen in satellite measurements and shows the strongest trend in areas such as South America and Australia.

Further information can be found in the link at the begining of the article.
