Boy Becomes First Human To Live With Permanent ‘Robot Heart’ | Gizmodo Australia

Boy Becomes First Human To Live With Permanent ‘Robot Heart’ | Gizmodo Australia.

The first perminent artifical heart to be implanted has been put into a young Duchenne syndrome patient by doctors in Rome.

The 4cm long battery operated heart sits in his left ventricle and has a connector that runs from his left ear down to a belt mounted battery.

Now i wonder what kind of connection that charger uses, mini-usb or have they gone for the new micro-usb :P
